In the future, De Maten will move away from natural gas and transition to sustainable heating. The municipality will first consult the residents in the neighborhood about the choice of a sustainable heating solution. For De Maten, we are looking at a district heating system or electric heat pumps. The solution may differ for each neighborhood.
